A great turnout of 10 pairs saw the lake in dour mood with only a handful of fish coming to the net. Best rod on the day was Tye Hackman who managed 35lb 4oz, which consisted of two lovely commons, one 19lb 4oz 8dr, and the other 16lb. Dad Andy weighed in with a 9lb 1oz fish to take the pairs weight to 44lb 5oz 8dr for an easy win. A late 13lb 7oz common propelled the Ewing duo into 2nd place, but it was dad Dave who showed young Mikey how to do it. Another late fish, this time for Team Gregoriades gave them 3rd place with a 10lb 9oz common. Pete Devasagayam had caught an early fish but found their 9lb 2oz common overtaken by others!
There was a pleasant surprise in store for 3 of the juniors with the special presentation of a rod and reel to each of them by Darryll Slater on behalf of Wychwood. Unfortunately they were unable to take any fish with them as yet. No doubt that will be put right on the next match at Broadwater! Our thanks go to Darryll and Wychwood for the generous support.
Tye & Andy Hackman 44-5-8
Michael & Dave Ewing 13-7-0
Ben & Marcus Gregoriades 10-9-0
Matt & Pete Devasagayam 9-2-0
Next match is at Lythe Hill, April 20th, don’t forget to book in asap!
