Fifteen fish round 5 of the Summer league. It proved a struggle for most with Bream and Tench not playing ball in the bright sunshine. Colin Underwood did find four Bream on peg 38 weighing 17.12.0 for the win. Henry Golas was second from peg 40 with 11lb of silvers and Nigel Calverley took third with 5.8.0 of small silvers also from peg 25. Dave Hoffman took fourth with 5.6.0 from peg 32.

9 juniors fished this match on a cool Saturday morning. The bream proved reluctant to feed but there were a few tench and plenty of skimmers and roach to be caught. Finley Tester proved his class again taking a mixed bag for 25lb5 from peg 11 with Haydon on peg 10 second with 9lb 1oz, just ahead of Ralphie Shearer with 9lb dead from peg 12.
League-wise Finley is looking good with 3 wins for 3 points but Haydon and Ralphie are too close to call on 8 and 9 points respectively.

A muggy and very wet morning greeted the boys competing in this latest Summer league match. Luckily the fish found the conditions very much to their liking and produced excellent weights for a three hour match. Top rod was Finley Tester on peg 12 with 42lb 2oz, followed by Ralphie Shearer on 13 with 24lb 3oz and Haydon on peg 11 with 22lb 6oz.
Ironically the weather improved towards the end but as it did so the fsihing slowed down. If it had kept on raining the weights may have been even higher!

This was a tougher match than last year thanks to a sharp frost preceded by a week of cold rain. Cameron Eadie on peg 14 showed the way nicking a few small roach on the waggler for 1lb 2oz. Leo Hackman on peg 3 had three roach on a maggot feeder for 7 oz and second.
The frost did herald a beautiful morning with crisp winter sunshine and all the competitors and dads enjoyed bacon rolls and home made cakes ( thanks to Cameron's gran).
