This match was transferred to Richardson as the original venue on the river at Firs Bridge was flooded, making fishing impossible.
Richardson proved very hard on a cold day and there were several blanks amongst the nine hardy souls that fished. Chris Kampa won the day with a couple of Tench backed up with a few Skimmers and Roach.

Despite a bitterly cold start to the day this match was well attended by twenty members. Paul Etherington ran out the winner from peg 42 with two Bream on the feeder and approx 12 lbs of Roach on a 5m whip close in. Second from peg 11 was Phil Morris with a bag of Skimmers on the feeder. Third was Frankie Bevan & Buster with newcomer Wayne Hughes fourth. His catch included a near- 6 lbs Tench.

This was an Inter - Club match v Twyford AS. 26 fished on ponds 2,3 and 4. Top spot went to Twyford's Tony Clayson fishing pond 2. Paul Etherington on pond 3 was second with Mick Grace and Perry Gray both on pond 2, third and fourth.

The match was fished on the Swan Pub stretch at Ash Vale either side of the bridge, on a wet and blustery day with twelve attending after several dropouts due to the poor forecast.
Chris Kamper was the winner fishing opposite the 1st white boat taking three good Perch and a skimmer, along with small Roach for 7.8.0. Consistent Andy Rogers was second from the other side of the bridge but was hampered by chocolate brown water coming into the canal from a side steam in the second half. Lee Simmonds and Roy Fiander were third and fourth.

With the river in full flood and much of the lock cutting towpaths under water, we transferred to Marsh Farm Richardson Lake. After a frosty start the warm sunshine triggered algae floating up from the bottom. As on previous occasions that this has happened, the fishing was very hard and in fact only one of the thirteen competitors caught anything. The winner and only catcher was Andy Rogers with one bite producing a 2lb Tench.

14 Godalming and 8 Twyford members fished this match on ponds 3 & 4. Brian Stephens won from corner peg 1 on lake 4, catching numerous Carp along the causeway bank using waggler and white maggot. Colin Underwood on the top far bank corner peg on lake 3 included a 9lb grass carp in his second place bag. Third place was also from a corner peg 1 on lake with Vic Sexton taking several Carp.

Twenty two fished this match on a dull drizzly day. The winner was Eddie Rippon on peg 42 who started on the feeder with soft pellet switching to the pole after a couple of hours to take big Bream all day for 53lb. Next door on 41 Andy Rogers made a slower start but finished well ending up with 37lb, Perry Gray on peg 15 included a 7lb Tench in his third place bag. Roger Howe took fourth with 11lb.
The match was divided in two as one end usually fishes much better than the other and so it was today. The top three at the dam end were Eddie, Andy & Roger, and the top three at the boathouse end were Perry Gray,Mick Harrod & Jim Findlay.

Sixteen fished this match on a warm spring day with unbroken sunshine and temperatures reaching 17c for those in the sun, but a chilly breeze and a clear lake made the fishing hard for all but the winner Paul Etherington on peg 1. Paul fished the feeder with chop worm all day to take Bream and three large 2lbs plus Perch. Colin Sax was second, also on the feeder and worm on peg 8. Perry Gray on peg 11 was third - also on feeder. Bailiff Ken Cardwell took fourth on feeder & worm from peg 26. It was nice to see some of the Chub showing with Richard McQuinn taking 3 for 7lbs on peg 19.

Phil Morris on peg 4 had Carp on both the straight lead or pellet waggler using 8mm pellet to win from Frank Bevan on peg 1 who caught on the pole down the edge on pellet taking several Carp and Skimmers. Colin Underwood on peg 6 had Carp and Skimmers also on the waggler and whip using maggot. Fourth went to Jim Findlay on peg 18.

This first Apollo wed open of the new year showed that the lake has woken up from the long wet winter. It was won by Luke Sheriff of Guidford Angling with an impressive weight of 54lb from peg 1 fishing the long pole with pellet to catch all day. Second with a very creditable 51lb was Pete Mackins on peg 33 , with Frank Bevan on peg 35 third. Fourth on the day was Kevin Parker on peg 5.

Second from peg 13 was Darren Dodge fishing pole and pellet for a mixed Bream & Tench bag. Dave Johnson (Matchangler.com) took third with similar pole tactics on peg 9, fourth spot went to Paul Etherington on 28 fishing groundbait feeder with pellet.

Matchangler.com legend Dave Johnson won the match from much fancied end peg 2 fishing the pole with pellet and worm to take a mixed bag of Tench. Crucians, Bream for 70lb. Second on peg 5 was Dave Steer also fishing pole and pellet for 58lbs with Pete Makins on peg 15, 44lb and Derek white on 12, 32lb taking third and fourth.

Easter Sunday and heavy rain! no change there this year again as the largest turnout of the year 39 Dorking and Gas members braved the wind and rain storms. Winner from peg 13 was Trevor Haskell alternating between pole and feeder for a close win. Carrying on from Wed Dave Johnson on peg 4 this time used pole and pellet / worm for second. Richard McGuinn used similar tactics for third with Dorkings Match Sec Martin Cooper on the next peg 12 taking fourth.

The match was fished in calm overcast conditions. With the breeze blowing towards the shop end of the lake the early pegs we favorite to produce again.
Dave Lewis on peg 2 duly delivered the win fishing pole and pellet at 12 mtrs and down the edge ending up with 68lb. Using similar tactics on peg 5 Jon Taylor took 2nd with 35lb, Consistent Pete Makins was third from peg 32 and the last frame place went to Darren Dodge on peg 10.

16 Fished the match and the top four all came from the early pegs as the fish once again followed the wind. Bill Marchant won from peg 3 fishing the pole with casters and groundbait at 11 mtrs then mostly down the edge in the second half of the match to end up with 75lb of Tench and Skimmers taking over as the new best weight of the current season. Phil Worral using the same tactics and bait was second from peg 2 with 42lb also mainly Tench, with Dave Lewis on peg 5 third and Andy Love on 6 taking fourth.
