We would like to remind members to follow Government guidance if they see dead or sickly birds when out fishing. 

The guidance states clearly:

Do not touch or pick up a dead or visibly sick wild bird.

Sadly Alan Millington passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Alan joined the Society in 1975 and went on to become Fisheries Management Officer then Life Vice President.

We have extended our deepest sympathies to his family.  A fuller appreciation of Alan's life and contribution to the Society will be published in due course.

There has never been a better time to give fly fishing a go!

Godalming Angling Society runs a fantastic trout fishery at Winkworth.  Fishing is from boats on the scenic Rowe's Flash, a 5 acre estate lake nestled within the Arboretum grounds.  

To encourage more angers to enjoy the fishing at Winkworth, memberships are available at very attractive rates.
