Potential disruption due to extreme temperatures- check website for updates
Added on July 13, 2022

We are monitoring water temperatures closely during this period of extreme heat.

Water cools much slower than air so waters may remain closed in the interest of fish welfare.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Broadwater bait limits lifted
Added on June 30, 2022

We have changed Broadwater Bye Law 1 and lifted the 2kg dry weight limit on bait to be used over a 12 hour period.

You are now free to use more bait if you want to.  Please note that restrictions on cereal based groundbaits, bread and nuts still apply.  Fishmeal based groundbaits are permitted.

27th May- Morning disruption at Broadwater pegs 5-14
Added on May 24, 2022

We have just been informed that the Forestry commission have subcontractors coming to the lake to spray oak trees between pegs 5 and 14 at Broadwater.

They plan to start early in the morning so hopefully the area will be cleared in a couple of hours.  They will need to return within a  fortnight for a  second spraying but as yet we have no date for this.

Should take about an hour to complete the spraying.

Sorry for any inconvenience and the short notice.
