25th March Disruption on Johnson's railway bank- partial closure

There will be some disruption along the Railway bank between the gate and the sluice for essential maintenance work.


This section of the bank will be closed to anglers.

Lee Noakes awarded Certificate of Merit

Lee Noakes has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Angling Trust.


This is in recognition of the work he has done working with the Environment agency and local police forces to train officers about angling as an industry and angling related crimes. 

Lee is pictured with Dave Ewing, our head coach, who delivered some of the training and Dave Wilkins of the Angling Trust.

Weather caution

Strong winds continue to feature in the forecast over the next couple of days.


We urge all members to use common sense when fishing in strong winds.  In addition be aware that if weather warnings are upgraded to amber or red you may be asked to leave a water for safety reasons.
