OUR FISH ARE AT RISK, KHV outbreaks confirmed, tackle must be bone dry before fishing

KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) is a fatal disease killing between 50% and 90% of Carp infected.

Three local waters have recently been confirmed as having an outbreak of the KHV infection:

  • The Lakeside, Camberley, Surrey
  • Swanborough Lakes, East Sussex
  • Mansfield Lake, Kent

The virus is spread mainly by wet landing nets, unhooking mats, weigh slings and towels etc.


Please ensure all of your fishing tackle is bone dry before fishing.

New Busbridge bye-law effective 6th July 2017: pike fishing permitted 1st October to 14th March only

New Busbridge bye-law effective from 6th July 2017 

Pike fishing at Busbridge can only take place from 1st October to 14th March inclusive


This new bye-law was approved by the General Committee at the 5th July General Committee Meeting due to the recent pike deaths at Busbridge.

Wednesday 1st February: Broadwater closed for angling - fish survey netting

Broadwater lake will be closed for angling from 8am to 5pm on Wednesday 1st February for a fish survey netting.
